Healthy Creamy Avocado Sauce {with Greek Yogurt}

 This Healthy Creamy Avocado Sauce can be used on so many meals! It's a delicious and nutritious combination of avocados, greek yogurt, cilantro, jalapeños, and spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 Large Avocado (or 2 small)
  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup cilantro chopped
  • ¼ cup yellow onion minced
  • ¼ cup plain greek yogurt (any %fat will work) (can use sour-cream)
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • jalapeño pepper (½ for medium spice level, 1 whole for hot, or eliminate)

Instructions

  • Blend all ingredients until smooth and creamy. For the smoothest results: Blend in a high-powered blender or a food processor (I use a Vitamix!).
  • Serve as a dip, or drizzle over your favorite foods!

Notes

  •  Consistency: This has 1 cup of water to reach a consistency that is easy to drizzle over foods. If you want a thicker sauce just reduce water to ½ or ¾ cup.

  • Vegan Option: Remove the greek yogurt, or sub with vegan sour cream.
